The 15th ITH Hennesee Triathlon in the Mielinghauser Bucht proved to be a successful event for participants, spectators and organisers alike. Over 250 sports enthusiasts from all over Germany put their skills to the test last weekend in the three triathlon disciplines of swimming, cycling and running.
ITH, as the main sponsor, was once again represented among the triathletes this year. ITH Managing Director Frank Hohmann demonstrated his sporting commitment as a swimmer for the ITH Speedies relay team and was supported by Fabian Villmer and Johanna Hellermann. Robin Schneider, Jan Stähler and Andreas Hoffmann completed all three disciplines as ITH Elektronczyks in 1:36:08. Adrian Peters, an industrial clerk trainee at ITH, and Robert Dicke competed in the fun distance. "We are very proud to have been actively involved in the Hennesee Triathlon again this year with so many participants from our own company," said Frank and Jörg Hohmann.
Safety was a top priority throughout the event. Over 150 volunteers, including 20 ITH trainees from various year groups, provided active support. More than 60 marshals secured the bike course. The transition zones and pedestrian crossings along the course were also professionally cordoned off and supervised. The DLRG was on hand with boats, paddleboards, divers and swimmers to ensure safety in the water.
ITH Managing Director Frank Hohmann expressly thanked the volunteers and co-organisers from Stadtmarketing Meschede, TriFun Hennesee, ITH and the entire town of Meschede for their outstanding planning and execution of the event. Without this support and the numerous sponsors, such an event would not have been possible.
