Guests of the 40th ITH anniversary donated 5.000,00 € to charity

During the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of ITH Bolting Technology in May all invited guests were asked not to bring presents but rather to donate money to a charity. Many guests followed this idea.
„We would like to thank everybody for their commitment", ITH presidents Frank Hohmann and Jörg Hohmann quoted. "We are happy to transfer this amount of money to Lichtblicke e. V. charity organisation".
The biggest part of the donation came together from the guests of the 40th ITH anniversary celebrations: ITH employees, business partners and from representers of more than 40 ITH global sales and service offices. The amount was rounded-up by the ITH presidents and transferred in May. Now there was the time to hand over the donation check.
Social responsibility: Continuous, sustained and forward-looking
ITH is connected to the charity organisation "Lichtblicke e. V." - which helps kids in need - since an earlier engagement. Jörg Hohmann explains: "Since 2014 ITH collects money for Lichbtlicke during Christmas Time regularly. This goes back to an initiative from the ITH staff. We appreciate this engagement and are happy that we can continue this now".
The donation to Lichtblicke does also reflect the ITH commitment to support the local area Meschede and the region Southwestphalia, which is located in western Germany.
"Within our capacities, we actively contribute to society. Our strategy contains several projects in the area which are mostly connected with education and sports", Frank Hohmann explains.
"We think education and sports contribute to our society in a forward-looking and healthy way. Next to that, we want our projects to be sustained and therefore we are engaged continuously".
Who receives the help?
The donations go to "Aktion Lichtblicke e.V." which can be translated with "Gleam of Hope". Since 1998 the charity organisation supports kids, young adults, and families who need help in the western part of Germany, North Rhine-Westfalia (NRW).
The organisation was found by 45 local radio stations, NRW regional radio program, welfare organisation Caritas and welfare organisation Diakonie Rhineland-Westfalia-Lippe. Employees of the wellfare institutions locally take care of that donations are used for chosen projects.
"Aktion Lichtblicke e.V." institution is awarded by the German Central Institute for Social Questions DZI. According to DZI the costs for administration are below 10 % which is considered to be "low".
