Thanks to its open design, flexible equipment and modular customization options, it is optimally tailored to the requirements of industrial applications. Open design for maximum flexibility
The Bolt Tensioning Cylinder type ESH is characterized by its open design as a hollow piston cylinder. This design allows it to be used with long thread projections, as is often the case with foundation bolt connections, heat exchangers or flanges.

Flexible lock nut for individual adjustment
The integrated, flexible lock nut ensures simple and quick adjustment to different screw situations. This ensures precise and secure pre-tensioning even with changing requirements.

Automatic piston return for efficient processes
The automatic piston return increases work efficiency and minimizes manual effort. After pre-loading, the piston automatically returns to its starting position, which speeds up the work process and simplifies operation.

Modular designing for maximum flexibility

Scraper on the collar reliably protects the printing chamber from contamination.
Support arm: Multiple reaction arms possible, suitable for various bolt/nut configurations according to DIN EN ISO, ASME, ANSI, MSS, HV, national standards as well as ITH and customer-specific nuts.
Turning sleeve: Encloses the nut radially and can be adapted to the respective application. The turning sleeve can be omitted for round nuts with radial holes.
Hydraulic connections: Choice of vertical or horizontal, with or without cycle counter, with or without ITH Multi-Tensioning.
Protective cap with handle (optional): Increases ergonomics and contactors the hydraulic connection.

Flexible lock nut for variable applications
The open designing of the hollow piston cylinder enables quick and simple pushing onto long thread projections. The transmission of the preload into the bolt connection can occur flexibly – either via the ITH lock nut, a standard hexagon nut or the ITH split groove. This allows the Bolt Tensioning Cylinder to be optimally adapted to different bolting applications.

Optional equipment for more efficiency and contactor

ITH patented cycle counter on the hydraulic connection: Detects and displays the pressure cycles driven as an indicator for maintenance and documentation.
NIOX surface coating: Nickel-chrome coating for increased corrosion protection.
ITH patented protective cap with handle: Contactors the hydraulic connection and improves ergonomic handling.
Direct gear drive: speeds up the application of the nut, enables torque-controlled drive with torque wrench (1/4″ or 1/2″ socket).
