Andreas M. is celebrating his 25th anniversary with ITH
Andreas M. is celebrating his 25th anniversary with ITH this year. He has been with the company for a quarter of a century and has consistently contributed his experience and expertise.
The 53-year-old first completed an apprenticeship as a retail salesperson at Zweirad Engel in Meschede. Before joining ITH, he worked at Tital Feinguß. At ITH, Andreas initially worked for a short time in the assembling department and then moved to the conventional turning department. Through continuous professional development, Andreas became an expert in all aspects of turning operations. His now-extensive knowledge was further enhanced through collaboration with and support from the then-department head, Joachim K. When Joachim K. retired in July 2015, Andreas took over as department head of the conventional turning division.
Initially, only conventional lathes were used here, but NC and CNC machines have since been added. In his function, Andreas ensures that operations in the department run smoothly and serves as a reliable point of contact for his colleagues. Since 2012, Andreas, along with other colleagues, has also served as the safety officer responsible for the manufacturing division.
In 2015, Andreas passed the training instructor exam administered by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and has been responsible for training in this field ever since. All ITH apprentices pass through his department, including those in business administration. For these apprentices in particular, gaining insight into conventional turning offers a great opportunity to develop a better understanding of the materials used and the manufacturing processes involved.
Andreas also has a wide range of interests outside of work. In his free time, he passionately tends to his ever-growing collection of about 2,000 rock records. He also enjoys leisurely motorcycle rides with friends through the Sauerland region. Another regular part of his year is visiting his family in Austria, which is particularly important to him.
Managing Director Jörg Hohmann—speaking also on behalf of Frank and Jan Hohmann—paid tribute to the honoree’s long-standing loyalty and dedication: “When you need something quickly and flexibly, he’s there; you can always count on Andreas.” In addition, the management team expressed its gratitude for his many years of service and the achievements they’ve made together. “We look forward to continuing to work with you and thank you sincerely for everything you’ve done for ITH,” said Jörg Hohmann.
The management team and the entire staff extend their warmest congratulations to Andreas and wish him all the best—both professionally and personally—as well as continued success in his work at ITH!
