The industrial business administration apprenticeship at ITH Bolting Technology offers a comprehensive look into our company’s core business processes—and demonstrates just how versatile this profession is. From the very beginning, we are actively involved in daily work processes and take on tasks that create real added value for the company.
Teamwork is especially important. We apprentices always support one another. This team spirit creates a motivating and trusting work environment where we can gain a wealth of experience. We’re taught this team spirit right from the start of our apprenticeship, and it has a lasting impact on our day-to-day work.
As part of our training at ITH, we rotate through different departments, which gives us a comprehensive understanding of how all work processes are interconnected.
In the Human Resources department, we gain insight into employee support and administration and assist with various HR-related processes.
In the internal sales department, we work closely with customer inquiries and assist with preparing quotes. In order processing, we learn how to manage customer orders from the initial order through to the time of delivery. Direct contact with customers—including on an international level—is particularly exciting.
As the counterpart to sales, our purchasing department focuses on supplier relationships. We assist with the procurement of materials and external purchases, coordinate orders for outsourced manufacturing, and oversee delivery processes.
In marketing, we assist with a wide variety of projects, including both in-house events and, for example, social media campaigns.
In accounting, we learn about financial processes and how invoices and payments are documented. In controlling, we gain insights into the analysis of key business metrics, which are crucial for strategic decision-making.
All of these areas illustrate just how varied and comprehensive the training program at ITH is. Here, we are introduced to the diversity of business-related activities, and our organizational and communication abilities are strengthened.
