ITH team achieves strong 4th place at the company indoor soccer tournament in Schmallenberg!
A weekend full of team spirit, excitement and sportsmanship lies behind us: our ITH team achieved an impressive 4th place at the company indoor soccer tournament in Schmallenberg – and successfully held its own against a strong field of participants.
From January 30 to February 1, 18 company teams from Schmallenberg and the surrounding area played for the company championship title in the triple gymnasium in Schmallenberg. The atmosphere: sporty, fair and loud.
Our team showed on Friday and Saturday that they are a force to be reckoned with. With a great deal of commitment and clever teamwork, they reached the knockout phase with aplomb and ultimately advanced to the semi-finals. The first team from EEW Group Erntebrück was a particularly tough opponent. Despite a fighting performance, our team was beaten 3:1.
In the gap for third place, the team faced Fitnessclub Eslohe. Here, too, the team once again showed full commitment, enthusiasm and willpower. In the end, however, the team lost 5:2 and finished the tournament in a very respectable 4th place.
A big thank you goes to all the players who gave their all this weekend – and of course to the supporters who provided motivation and atmosphere from the stands.
We’re already looking forward to the next time – and who knows: maybe we’ll even manage a place on the podium!
