ITH safety concept
The 4 bolt connections M30x2 (1 1/8") at the connection rod (piston diameter 340 mm) of a large diesel engine are tensioned precisely by 2 ITH Bolt tensioning Cylinders type Twin. The design of the type Twin cylinders are using the patented cycle counter for documentation and safety reasons of bolt connections. By using the adjustment window of the replaceable support ring the nuts (here round nuts with radial drillings) can be easily tightened or loosened.
At the connecting rod bolt connection of a large diesel engine (V - Engine) the bolts (M36x3 [1 3/8"]) are tensioned with the ITH Bolt Tensioning Cylinders type Twin to achieve an even and uniform bolt connection. By its compact design the bolt tensioning cylinder type Twin fits into tight applications.
